My last lecture

 

My last lecture…what advice can I have to give to you, dear reader? I would say that of all the things you can do or accomplish, the best things in life come from honesty, integrity, hard work, passion, and a desire to make a difference in the world. Remember that life is too short to choose a job that makes life dreary. My favorite times in life have been when I am with family, friends, and great people. Find those amazing people in your life and make them part of you’re A-team. Striving to choose the right is by far the best way to progress in life.

I learned the power of loving what you do while I was on my mission. Being out in the streets all day everyday was hard work! But through finding a love for the people and the culture of the country, and most importantly God, I was able to find a love for and joy in the work. Some of best and most satisfying things I have ever done have also been some of the hardest things.

When one is able to find a passion for their job or the task at hand, that is when the job becomes a game and they start to enjoy it!

The people in our lives will create and influence the experiences we have. This is crucial to remember because when we pick our friends, we pick our assets, remember that. I truly believe that if one can surround themselves with successful people, they will in turn become successful. That is why some individuals performs so well while others fail, it is because their network is lacking. If you want to belong somewhere or in something, then contribute. If you want to make a difference, then lift where you where you stand. There is something to be said about someone who always does their best in whatever they do.

The correct decision will always be the correct decision. Never let anyone tell you otherwise, if they are, they don’t know what they are talking about and are not used to making correct decisions. Every step you make towards becoming a better person is a step well placed. No matter what the sacrifices are of making the right decision, make them. You will thank yourself later and so will all those who know you. There is nothing more impressive than a man who will do the morally correct thing in every circumstance… so become that man. When Jesus was here on the earth, he said, “Be ye therefor perfect.” So go and do and start living a life worth living.
