A Purpose driven life.
Week 2
We kicked off this week studying about how we as entrepreneurs need to constantly be engaged in a good cause and doing the right things. If we can do what the Lord has asked of us, we will find the opportunities that we need to advance and progress. He will open the right doors and close the wrong ones. If we are built upon the rock of Christ we can build anything!
This was seen in a small way this week as we were able to do the age old game of "Bigger or Better." We were each given a aluminum drinking straw and we were given the assignment of coming back with something bigger or better. Brother Wadsen the teacher assigned us into groups and let us run with it. The team that I was assigned with was a group of great young men and together we started haggling and bargain with youth of Zion up on campus. It was tougher than we thought so we headed over to some apartment complexes where the inhabitants would have more options to trade other than some mechanical pencils.
Our first trade of the day was with a young woman who was willing to give us a little LEGO temple in exchange for the straw. For the LEGO temple we were able to acquire some strap on HEELYS which could be used for cruising around campus at one's convenience. With those sweet ride we were able to once again trade up and get an AUKING MINI PROJECTOR valued at $40-60 used. While that is not a ton of money we were able to get that in 50 minutes. I imagine and predict that with more time we would also have been able to go a lot Bigger or Better."
Go Big or Go Home! Know your purpose and do everything possible to achieve it! The Lord will help you do it! 3 Nephi 27:29
